Quick Wash [Cat Photos 7 of 7]

Submitted by dorner on Tue, 12/01/2020 - 23:12

March 2019, Kruger National Park, South Afrika

Before we hit the road this morning, for sure we also had only a quick wash (in German we say cat wash), but they had told us that best chances to see cats are in the early morning. So we dragged ourselves out of bed veeeery early and left the camp as soon as they opened the gates. We started before 6 am and got rewarded. Until 9 am, we had seen lions three times. This lion also just had a quick wash at the side of the road...

For photo challenges or photo series in the context of 7 photos in 16 days, I found suitable photos during my last hike around the city and put them together in a small logo:

No snow for Christmas, but at least a bit of sunshine in between all the rain. The magical blue of the clouds an early Christmas present this afternoon...

I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year - with a lot of sunshine in between the rain clouds...

Submitted by lamouette on Wed, 12/30/2020 - 04:28

Finally, it's the last full moon in 2020 and we are starting the first topic of our creative challenge. I just drew a topic from my red creative treasure box and until the next full moon it's all about: cuddly

So from Wednesday, December 30, 2020 04:28:13 CET until Thursday, January 28, 2021, 20:16:18 CET we gonna have cuddly creative posts. I'm looking forward to on the one hand playing around with the topic and on the other hand to the posts of my fellow creatives.

Rise of the Milky Way after Sunset

What I love about my job? The magic of the night sky... Of course it's exhausting to be on night shift for 3-4 weeks - which in winter basically means hardly seeing the sun from full moon to full moon - but as the observatories are usually in remote places, this also gives me the chance to enjoy wonderful nature and above all the fascinating night sky.
